Italian vegetable tanned leather is the highest quality leather from Italy, world famous and recognized by the best leather craftsmen in Europe. To protect and polish the edges of the products, I use the Japanese Tokonole and a natural mixture with beeswax. All edges are hand polished for long lasting shine and protection. This process requires hours of painstaking work. For example, for the manufacture of one wallet, from start to finish, it takes up to 40 working hours. For painting carved patterns and artistic embossing of my leather models, I use high-quality acrylic paints from the most famous "Angelus" company, which do not crack or peel, are completely waterproof
after drying and allow the skin to "breathe", which further prolongs its durability and beauty. For the top coat, I use the famous brand Fiebing's (the colors in these items, which are entirely hand-decorated, may vary slightly depending on the quality of your phone or computer screen).
In my JL creations I use 2 of the most famous types of Italian genuine leather, which are perfectly combined with each other and give a striking result of sophisticated Victorian style glamor with a touch of the Medievai Viking style: vegetable tanned leather in combination with "Crazy Horse" leather.

Crazy Horse leather is a high quality bovine leather, treated by applying carnauba refractory wax to a specially polished chrome-tanned crust (a type of leather with a natural pattern) and finishing with "crazy horse". This leather is characterized by a high degree of strength, it does not have shine, it is quite elastic and smooth. Usually,
its thickness does not exceed 1.6-2 mm. At the same time, the structure of this leather is dense,

Outwardly, it looks like a vintage product. It seems that the material is not the first year. And vintage style is always in fashion and this is exactly the quality that I need in my models. Lack of shine, softness and pleasantness to the touch, reminiscent of nubuck, but more dense in structure. This leather reacts to touch, causing scratches (vintage) to easily appear, which are quickly removed by rubbing with fingers or rags. It is not necessary to do this at all, since over time the skin recovers itself and scratches practically disappear.
The type of "Crazy Horse" leather creations is quite rich,
due to its elegance and originality. It is also water resistant.
Simple and prompt care is another of its advantages: in order to restore the original appearance, it is enough to run a finger over the skin
or wipe it with a dry rag.
